Serious Questions: Catholics

Does the pope get a paycheck? If so, how much? Also, what does he spend it on exactly,  seems like most of his needs would be taken care of by his minions. Assuming the pay is good, has anyone risen to the rank of pope just to pay off a bookie or something? Not saying something like that has happened every time, just asking if one or two pulled something like that.

How much actual freedom does he have to do as he would like? Betting getting some cocaine and hookers is out of the question. However, could he announce he is in the mood for some burgers and head down to get some? Or like he if he was a foodie, could he go down to the farmer's market to pick his own produce? I know he has minions for this kind of thing, but if he were inclined how much could he take care of himself?

How much corruption is the average pope involved in? It undoubtedly goes up and down as popes come and go. Is it more or less than the average cop? Is it any better than the average politician?

How much can a pope push his own agenda? How much of what he does is just toeing the company line? The current one has made a few comments, and "his people" then claim "he didn't mean that". Doesn't seem to happen as much now, maybe he got a stern talking too. Not sure from who, I thought he was at the top.

Fun with Nuns

Once while I was in an Office Depot I encountered a nun. She needed help, and thought I worked there, I did not. However, I helped her any. I go around to office stores looking for clearance items, good way to get spare flash drives and other bits. So, I encountered her several times. We got to be friendly.

One day she asked if I would get a coffee with her, I don't drink coffee, but I went with her anyway. It must have been an odd sight for people to see a dude like me sitting with a nun. While I had been friendly with her, this was the first time we had an actual serious conversation. She told me that I treated her differently then most people she was around outside of her convent. I told her, first that I wasn't catholic, and second that I was treating her as I would treat any woman I was friendly terms with. We would meet several more times, and conversed, and we began to flirt.

It wasn't till a few later that she asked an obvious question: "If you aren't catholic, what are you?". I told her I was an atheist, that I had been ever since as an 8 or 9 year old I had read the bible and various other religious texts  and found them wanting. After this conversation, I wasn't sure if I would see her again, but to my surprise I did.

I had expected her to try to covert me, or in someway talk me out my atheist stance, but she didn't. In fact she seemed very curious about it, I think I may have been the first one she had ever meet, or at least the first one she had ever had the chance to really talk to.

Then one day, she came to meet me and she wasn't in her habit. In normal cloths she was actually a fairly attractive woman. She told me that she had left the church, and that our conversations had been what made her start thinking about it. We have been friends ever since.

However, in some ways she hasn't left faith behind. She now actively proselytizes atheist ways of thinking, and protests for atheist rights. I personally don't do any of that, but it is good she has found something that she loves to do.

It warms heart to see that someone who was so emerged in religious practices can find enlightenment. It gives me hope for the world.

Odd facts.

Just some odd things that happen to be true. Welcoming any thoughts on these subjects.

Men with some form of dwarfism are good people, but men that are just short are always douche bags. Seriously, any dude under about 5'7" (170 cm) is nearly always a douche bag, unless they are suffering from some kind of dwarfism.

The more a man is into a woman, the bigger pain in the ass her friends are going to be. Why do the best women always have such cunt friends? Is this just the universe having fun?

The more attractive a person is (physically speaking) the less they try in every other area. Every bang a "10" that just laid there?

The Vatican is full of men in dresses that also hate gays. Seems like a mixed message to say the least.

Children are god awful. Yes, especially yours.

No one cares about any of your shit.

Even More Fun With Counterfeit Money.

Counterfeit money is something everyone encounters every now and then. It doesn't matter how you came across it. It is in your possession, and you need to do something with it. The "right" thing to do is turn it over to the police, or perhaps just to destroy it. However, it seems there are other promising options available for your fake money.

Take it down to the church of your choice and put it in the collection plate. It doesn't need to be your own church. You might be a Catholic and want to teach the Lutherans down the street a lesson. Or maybe you just want to screw over the Scientology center for harassing you a bit too much. No matter what church you take it too, you can still write it off on your taxes. Don't feel bad about it, they sell false hope at churches, so why not pay for it in false money?

Give it too people that are looking to make change. "Hey man, got change for a twenty?", "Why yes I do". Admittedly this only works if you have small bills that have been counterfeited, and a lot of them. Of course you could do the reverse of this, stand out side a 7/11 looking to break a 50 or 100 because most of them won't take large bills.

Take it down to a "swap meet". A "swap meet" is a wonderful place where people sell stolen and knock-off merchandise off of blankets and tables. As almost everything is already stolen, it seem like the perfect place to spend a few counterfeit dollars. This way if what you bought doesn't work, you aren't really out anything.

Just a few ideas. You should of course do the "right" thing. Even if it is not the funny option.
