Summer movies tend to hit and miss. However they always seem to bring fanboys out. Movies make them come out in public, out of their parent's homes, and take their lips off the barrel of a gun. They come out and act socially awkward, and overtly defensive. Worse of all, we have to deal with them. This rarely, if ever, ends well.
The fanboy is a horrid creature. One that sadly we are forced to deal with far to often this time of year. There is no known way to purge us of them, so instead we need to identify them quickly, and avoid the places they roam. Sadly if you like movies, avoiding there habitats may not be an option. Don't worry however, there numbers don't grow much as women want no part of them, and top scientist are working on a poison that will kill them and not the average person. Donation might help their work to that end along. In the mean time, there are a few things one can look for in order to spot them. Here are five universal traits of the fanboy.
5. Defending things to the death.
They can often be found being overly defensive about legitimate criticism. Be it movie, book, comic, or game, if you say anything other then how great it is they flip out. It could be minor, but it is a word against there love, and they can't take it. Fanboys love things the way a child loves mommy, and can't take a word against mommy.
4. Creepiness.
This isn't always visual. This can happen as you are talking to them, and suddenly you notice talk on a certain subject really gets them going. When this happens, you should run. An aroused fanboy might try to rape you, and all because you talked about the last Marvel comic movie.
3. Bad Hygiene.
When you only friends are inanimate objects, you just stop caring. Oddly enough, they are filthy, but everything they are into is perfectly clean. Not a disk has a scratch on it, not page bent, somehow the grease on there hands never makes it on to their objects of obsession. This phenomenon needs study.
2. Emotionally unstable.
They get go form gleefully happy, to crying, to violently angry all in a matter of seconds. Why? Because you don't view what they love as perfect. Luckily, they are usually not in good enough shape to do much in the way of violence. A general lack of contact with others seems to cause this.
1. Claim you are not smart enough to "get it".
This is something only the most obvious and pathetic fanboys do. They know they have no way to defend there greatest love, so they try claim superiority. This is sad to see. It is very transparent, and has never really worked. Yet somehow, it has stayed as the most common defensive tactic used by the fanboy.
Donate today. We can find a cure for "fanboy" in our lifetime.

Worst Parts of Entertainment.
Entertainment comes in many forms, books, movies, video games, music, and many others. Entertainment can be art, or be made purely to make money, both options are fine and most of it falls somewhere in the middle. However, all forms of entertainment have the same cancers eating away at them however. These are the worst parts of entertainment.
The lack of original ideas that leads to the large number of remakes. Movies are most guilty of this, but video games and musicians are guilty too. When a remake is done right it adds to the original, and gives you something new in old skin, it is something that can be compared to the original and hold its own. A musician can do a cover and put their own style into the song and make something great, a directer can do the same with film. The problem is all the lazy attempts at remakes that come out, cover songs that are identical to the original, movies that are poorly made with a familiar title slapped on it. If you must remake something, at least do it right. Sadly it hasn't been done right in a long time.
Every form of media has its fans. Sadly over time some fans change, a metamorphosis happens and they become fanboys. What causes this tragic condition is unknown, but being seated near one is the number one cause of suicide at entertainment venues. Fanboys are a sad lot, they have developed an obsession and are offended when other don't share in it. If you are wondering if someone you know is a fanboy lookout for the following: endless talking about one subject, large amounts of money spent on things relating to same subject, lack of hygiene, fits of rage when legitimate criticisms are aimed at their obsession.
Entertainment makers should try to target a particular audience. Problems happen when they try to make something for "everyone". When you try to make something for everyone, you in the end make something for no one. Somethings are for children, others for adults, and others for any group that might exist. You need to know who you are making something for, this lets you know what to make. On the rare occasion something transcends audiences and is universal, it is not done on intention, it rather just happens.
So lets ban together to stop these problems. Don't pay to see that remake, get the original off Netlfix. Donate a dollar to help find the cause and cure to fanboyism. Remind any person you know in the entertainment industry to target a single audience. Together we can improve entertainment.

People we could do without.
There exist different types of people we could do without. This is not about race, or sex, or anything so superficial. These are people no one would miss, annoyances, and wasters of time, and overall useless people. You might know a few, in fact that is almost certain, however without them your life will be better.
1. Fanboys. It doesn't matter what they are into, they think it is a subject on which the world turns, when in reality no one but them (and some forum friends) care about. They come in all shapes and sizes, can be women with a wet spot for reality TV, men that spend all day talking about there favorite sports team, nerds talking about their other life in a MMO, or any number of other things. The common factor is they have allowed the unimportant to take over their lives, and are upset you don't value it as they do.
2. People that "hangout" at work on their day off. It is your day off, why are you here? Do you hate yourself that much? Do you not get enough of this place in the 40 hours you are here already? If you work at a retail store, you get a pass if you NEED something sold there. If you don't have business there, you should never show up other than when you are getting paid.
3. The people that leave stuff on your windshield while you are in a store. Has anything they left on your car ever helped you in anyway? Ever started driving with it on your windshield, it blows off, and a cop pulls you over? There is a similar guy that leaves business cards in your car window, they need to go too.
4. Conspiracy theorists. Sorry, it just isn't as complicated, or secret as you think it is.
